Dashing Hopes

Sorry for the late entry .

Woke up early in the morning ... and went to school for tutorial . I skipped aural class because ... there isnt any reason ... Actually i thought today i wouldnt go for school , since there is a concert . But i didnt wanna miss history tutorial , so ... i went for the early time slot . DrKan went through our project with us . And our theme is ... something like ... the element of humour in Haydn's music . And please ... there isnt anything funny ... and she said there'll be some extracts which will make us laugh ... then she cracked a really silly old joke , she said ... she hope we dun laugh like prawns . Then straight away , she laughed away ... then there was a silence for a while , then ... everyone broke into laughters . We arent laughing at her joke ... we are laughing at her .

Well soon after that , YongRui and i have to go for the rehearsal at 2pm . But before that , went to eat with Evan and gang at the NasiLemak stall . After that , we went to the library to watch some movie . But before that , we were talking about somebody . Well , its no other than ... the bimbo slut . If ur reading this , i think its best for u to close this window now ... for it might harm u .

Watched some silly movies . Didnt manage to complete any , because there wasnt enough time . Ive not been to the library for too long already , i cant even open the door . I was standing at the door , finding the button to open it ... then i couldnt find it , be it on the wall or behind the pots . Then i called somebody ... when i did , somebody from outside opened the door ... so i quickly ran for it , and went to the toilet . After that , Jwen and Evan laughed ... then they told me that now its some automatic censor ... just have to stand under the door on the right . Well , i was at the left ... no wonder ... YongRui came after i return from the toilet . So we went straight for rehearsal ...

Told him to take bus 131 or something ... then he said that the bus doesnt stop at SCH . Well , i know it does ... but im not very sure . So , too bad of me to trust him ... we took bus 857 , and then dropped at Suntec then walk over to another bus-stop so bloody far away ... to take 196 . It was stupid ... never trust YongRui with directions again ... he said until like he really knows the way . In the bus , before we got to Suntec , there was another bus-stop which has several buses which goes to SCH ... so i suggested that we stop there ... but then he told me confidently that there isnt any bus there which goes there . Nonsense ! I was sweating ... and i was tired ... i was carrying YouGuo's Pipa ... and good thing that he helped me carry mine ... or else ...

After we got there , we quickly got dressed and went for the full-dress rehearsal . My coat is shrinking ... or maybe its that im growing , well its either one ... but i chose to believe that the coat shrunk . Nevermind ... then i saw Kathryna there , the Harpist , i went over and said hello . She almost forgotten me ... because we havent seen each other for so long .

Rehearsal was bad . Firstly , the percussion was making the same mistakes over and over again . Secondly , the Dizi are out of tune ... And finally , the concerto wasnt well prepared . So , first ... SirLiang was there yet , so we skipped the first piece ... The Dizi double concerto was fine , except for the same area which the Dizi kept going faster ... so in the end , we couldnt catch up and we lost count . The Suona concerto was fine , he made some mistakes ... but it was generally fine . The other pieces were fine too ... except for my solo ...

Went to eat after the rehearsal . I ate 2 boxes ... i didnt eat the rice ... i ate the toufu and the meatballs . Ate with ChaiXia at level 1 , then ate alone at level 2 . Then those who saw me eat ... was like asking ... why i ate so slowly , because they saw me eat downstairs then now again upstairs . Well , they didnt know ... its my second box . Went to play the Piano after that ... till Lisa came and ask us to stop .

I somehow think that the first half was kinda short . Time flew really quickly when we're on stage . But im not sure how the audience would find the pieces ...

Backstage was packed . This time its fun , we are allowed to go on stage on our own , without the need to queue up and march onto stage . We just went on stage by ourselves , and then tuned out instruments ... even talked ... and did everything that we wanted to .

The concert then started . I borrowed Alvin's Pipa for my solo part , and i dun see the point , because no matter how good the Pipa is , the player isnt . Well , the Dizi concerto kinda screwed up because they were rushing . The first piece was grand and very well done for an opening , we were getting faster and faster ... which is actually kinda good . The Suona concerto was very good , compared to the usual rehearsals . After he finished his concerto , i turned my head and told JiaJin and YouGuo that its really good . Well , there were mistakes , but it takes skill and courage to stand there and blow his Suona . Plus , the piece is kinda technical ... because its written by PhoonYewTian , i wonder how did he find his own piece ... It was then interval , i went to look for my granparents ... and they only asked about my father . Well , tell u guys later . The interval was very short . I quickly sat down and prepare myself for the next half .

Firstly , the suite was great ... quite perfect , other than intonation . Then the orchestral piece was great too ... it was really nice . YouGuo and i went crazy during the TanBo melody part . We were playing really loudly , and everything was beautiful . We changed the harmonic parts to real solid notes ... because when we're doing the artificial harmonic , we have to look at our Pipa , so ... everybody has no time to look at the conductor and plus the fact that the Woodwind section was dragging the tempo . Finally , the pieces ... which has my horrible solo . After the concert , Jonathan asked me like why everytime on stage im like that ... but normally im not . Well , stage fright , i still has this little stage fright , but its fine now ... my left leg will tremble . The solo was really horrible , JiaJin asked isit because i didnt dare to play it out . Then WeiFeng said that the notes were audible but kinda soft . Well , ive to explain also that its because that after so many bars of rest , coming in suddenly will often be ... kinda weird . I lost touch ... for that moment ... well ... enough of the excuses ... u get what i mean ...

After the concert , i went to PasirRis with Sharon , Jasmine and YongRui . We were heading for Julia's birthday chalet . Firstly , i was supposed to go with my Dad , but since he didnt attend the concert ... due to some reasons like he wasnt feeling well , i thought maybe i shall go for the chalet instead of going back to the CC . In the car , i let them hear the Mongolian music i bought , its really splendid .

We were looking for the chalet like hell . We walked around in DowntownEast , and we couldnt find the place . Then after we met up with ZhenQiang , we then found out that the chalet was just around the place where we first came in by . Julia was there with Melvin , her church friend , who likes to condemn NAFA ... i think so ... and he's weird and nice . Played Mahjong with the people , including Ivan . We taught Fhairil also , and he won quite a few times too . Everybody was tired ... Charmaine and the rest went for a walk at the beach , while i stayed inside . I bathed there ... and played Mahjong again ...

Then we planned to sleep . Everybody was lying on the bed ... and then Julia told us about his dream guy ... then we kept pointing to LuHeng . It was really funny ... and had fun for sure . But after awhile ... didnt know how ... everybody just fell asleep , including me ...

The day just went on like that ... i'll tell u more in the later post .
