Once Bitten , Twice Shy

Praise the lord that Wednesday is over , well but still ... there will be many coming Wednesdays .

Was almost late for lecture today . Went through Beethoven today , and i didnt attend last week's lecture , so ... i was kinda at a loss . I couldnt concentrate ... because i was disturbing dear Fairul . He got into SLO , and i dun have to repeat that , but still ... its amazing how he did it with yesterday's performance over at the audition . Well , he was kinda embarrassed about letting others know about him joining the SLO . Well , why not ? So , he was very annoyed wheneva i mention about SLO . Samuel also kept mentioning about it , we were all laughing about it . To think of it , its kinda rare to stumble across something like SLO . Nowhere else would u be able to sing opera choruses , and under the baton of Jennifer . If its me , i wouldnt mind joining too ... Samuel ... ?

The programme for today's platform was great ! Im talking about the Percussion ensemble ... and trust me , thats the most accurate rhythm u can hear , most stable . Gabriel's Timpani concerto was fine , i love the ambience he set . The soft tremelo of the various instruments created this very nice surrounding , for the Timpani to showcase its entry . Anyway , after that ... it was the best piece , by MinoruMiki , the composer of 'EastArch' , the piece which i wanted to play ... but i need a Marimba , Cello and Violin player . Fhairil would be more than willing to play the Marimba , but for the rest ... i dun think they are quite interested . Anyway , the Marimba concerto piece was played by Angeline . She was good ... so filled with emotion , and style . The piece is considered one of the hardest for the Marimba's repertoire itself . And yes , indeed ... it looked easy on the scores , but sure ... its hard . The sound of metal and wood accompanied the Marimba . The piece is about the famine in Africa , and about resurrection . And sure enough , the faster movement was ... exciting and so impressive . I love that piece , especially the faster movement . Gabriel , ZhengYi and Royce played the accompanying instruments , and they were even needed to shout . Trust me , its damn good . After the Percussion's pieces , which were rather more of a showcase of virtuosity compared to the Tuba quartet . They were more of the entertaining sort ... and i think they should've placed the programme ahead . The Percussion ensemble made everything felt like the end ... like the grand finale . But , who knows ... the Tuba quartet was next . Fairul played well ... and enjoyed the solo part ... for sure .

I withdrew money from the ATM machine , so cool , for the first time . I didnt know what to press ... and i pressed the wrong button , and so ... i had to do the transaction again .

Sightsinging class was fun . DrGoh was in a good mood ... and he had the different nationality sing the passages . He made really silly comments ... and its really funny . Suddenly , somebody sang the passage twice the speed faster ... and he said , why are the people accelerating ... unless they're Pianist . Its so obvious that its discrimination against the Pianists ... and it was really funny ... Then , he walked around and scolded the people for being evil ... for making such comments . He made them ... and he was denying them ... it was so freaking funny . I know i didnt make things sound funny here ... but trust me , it was really lame and funny . Then , since we'll be singing for the platform on that day , when almost all of the students would be on stage singing ... then , who would be watching us ? We dunno ... so , other than the lecturers ... DrGoh told us to free our maids . It was so bad ... he told us to let go of our Phillipino maids , and Indonesian maids ... They are Indonesians and Phillipians in our class ... and thats quite a bad comment to make ... but it was funny . Then he asked Mark how many maids does he have ... and Mark blushed ... then we told him that SiHan has 3 maids ... then Samuel somehow made SiHan say 2 . It was all funny ... and quite a moment of laughter for everybody .

Are SiHan's maids musicians too ?

Anyway , analysis was stressful . Well , i got 80 for my aural , and i got 70 for my analysis . Good job WeiKang ? Im not really sure ... but well , im happy . And DrKan said that shes surprised that i got such results ... and she doesnt have much to go through with me , just told me to keep up the good work . Well , not pretty sure whether its good , but sure ... im happy with it . There were many other people who managed to get higher scores ... but still , i dun wanna compete , because ... im happy . So , hopefully ... things would go well for YouGuo .

After class , we went to eat . I didnt eat , but they ate . DrGoh came and sat with us ... then , he showed me the piece which he wrote for Samuel and Shane to play . Well , it looked pretty interesting , but the notation wasnt there . He wrote the notations in English , explaining the method that it should be played . So , i somehow taught or helped him with some of the Pipa symbols . Anyway , its made up of simple symbols , and played around ... to make up different techniques . After that , he said that im so nice to help him even ... Funny . Anyway , then when Fairul was gone , we 'accidentally' told him that Fairul got into SLO . We were all so ... evil indeed ...

Nothing to do ... and nothing to say . Some went for practice , and i headed to Orchard with Fhairil . Shopped for the big pen i promised DrGoh . And then , i saw this ring ... but didnt know whether to buy . Anyway , after that ... we recieve this brochure on Sakura buffet . Since its rather cheap ... we thought , must well give it a try ? And so we did .

I paid by my card . But they didnt require any of my PIN , only my signature . So weird ... i dun understand how this work .

The buffet was alright . Quite alot of food ... Fhairil couldnt take any sushi , he'll throw up . I think he threw up twice , and went to the toilet to shit , twice too . For the first round , our table was like so full ... so many plates all over . Guess that it was really fun there ... and Fhairil couldnt take so many food ... and he darent try any new food . Not even the inari sushi ... and shishamo fish . Well , but surely ... i think it has been really , filling . We couldnt even walk out ... and the staffs were all laughing at Fhairil , because he kept going to the toilet . And they saw how he ate the sushi ... and how immediately he stood up and walked towards the toilet . It was so amusing ... the staffs were friendly , and they were laughing at us . Well , we felt really heavy for a moment .

Sat along the ScapePark , where the skaters were . Many youngsters , hang around that place . Skating , and biking ... its all those dangerous stuff . Then we started singing ... then Fhairil says that ive a nice voice , which i didnt believe ... when Marcus told me that the other time . Really ?

Jeremy just cried for help . His voice aint that good today , and hes worried about tomorrow's audition . And im wondering , when is Raymond coming ? The auditions will end this Friday ... and hopefully he'll come in time .

Listening to AliciaKeys now , and i dun think she can really sing well . But , surely her singing style is unique ... and many of her songs are appealing . So , i kinda like her songs , but surely ... some just doesnt have any sense .

Stomachache now .

Too much , when enough is enough . Like one of my past entry , once is enough . And this time , once is really enough ... Once bitten , twice shy .
